As DIS's proxy battle with Nelson Peltz's Trian Partners heats up and carries on, an ally has emerged with ValueAct Capital Management publicly supporting the company's recommended nominees for its Board of Directors. DIS and ValueAct also entered into a confidentiality agreement in which DIS pledged to share information and to consult with the asset management firm on strategic matters.
